@VISION THROUGH GENERATIONS

I founded and lead this initiative focused on empowering underprivileged children by providing access to education and basic IT skills, addressing systemic inequities in rural and underserved communities. It is a volunteer-based initiative. My responsibilities include strategic planning, program design, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilisation to create sustainable opportunities for marginalised youth.

STOP PAKISTAN TECHNICAL ADVISOR –

@VITAL STRATEGIES

In my role, I manage the Tobacco Industry Interference (TII) Grant in Pakistan and coordinate its communication aspects for Egypt, ensuring all deliverables are completed within the allocated budget and timeframe. I address challenges faced by grantees, acting as a liaison between local partners, the global STOP team, and Bloomberg Initiative (BI) Pakistan partners. I work closely with BI partners to strengthen monitoring of tobacco industry interference, particularly with regard to Article 5.3 of the Framework Convention for Tobacco Control (FCTC), which safeguards public health policies from industry influence.

STOP PAKISTAN FOCAL POINT –

I managed the tobacco industry interference grant in Pakistan. I also worked closely with Bloomberg Initiative (BI) partners in Pakistan to enhance monitoring of tobacco industry interference, responding to ad hoc requests and conducting additional investigations as required. I regularly shared information on global and Pakistan-focused STOP campaigns, and I adapted resources—such as fact sheets and briefs—to suit local needs, ensuring that stakeholders are equipped with relevant, actionable information to counter tobacco industry influence effectively.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATION OFFICER –

@PAKISTAN HUMANITARIAN FORUM

I was responsible for internal and external communications. My tasks for internal communications included daily media monitoring of local sources, updating contact lists for PHF international NGOs, and maintaining clear records on projects, meetings, and legislative decisions affecting NGOs. I developed and distributed thematic information, including updates on donors, UN trends, and government activities, ensuring that international NGOs are well-informed. For external communication, I kept donor lists updated, stayed up to date on the supported provided by INGOs during natural disasters such as COVID-19 and floods of 2020, and engaged with think tanks and research institutions to gather relevant insights and resources, effectively bridging connections between international NGOs and local research bodies.

NEWSWRITER –

@S&P GLOBAL MARKET INTELLIGENCE

In this role, my responsibilities included writing content from various sources, such as press releases, regulatory filings, and third-party articles, to ensure accuracy and relevance. I prepared the “daily dose” news roundup, compiling updates on the North American power sector, and analyzed weekly mergers and acquisitions to produce a cohesive article. I developed communication and media marketing products and facilitated content review. Achievements include pioneering regular quarterly and annual data sets, supporting expansion into the European and Mexican power sectors, and co-authoring impactful news stories like PGE’s bankruptcy.
